Airport Training Courses
The course was run in the City of Bristol College where Helen Mortimore, senior lecturer had this to say about the opportunity available with Swissport/Servisair airport training courses.
“We have been working with Servisair on this programme for five years having identified a need for employees to have the appropriate skills before starting work in the aviation industry.
“All students are given the opportunity to apply for a position, be interviewed by Servisair and, if successful, progress onto employment.
“The programme provides the students with valuable work experience which will open doors into other travel and tourism areas such as cabin crew, overseas resort representative or retail travel.
“Permanent contracts are also offered within Servisair to those students who have performed well and wish to progress further within airport ground handling.
“This programme is an example of how meeting the needs of the industry results in employment for young people. We’re passionate about supporting our students and it’s fantastic to see how many students go onto employment and progress through this programme.”
